SGB Power Transformers

Starkstrom-Geratebau (SGB) Transformers was formed in 1947 and manufactures primary and grid transformers up to 120MVA.

Based in Regensburg in the south of Germany SGB provides the full project management package to supply transformers to the UK, including manufacturing, transport, off-loading, installation and commissioning, often with the assistance of local SGB trained and approved contractors.

SGB has extensive experience in the UK with Utilities, major contractors, windfarm developers and private network operators. SGB UK references include: EdF Energy, Scottish Power, RWE NPower and United Utilities.
